Everyone will have an opportunity to learn, work, earn, meet, and greet other LETS members. So why don't you come along!! Please read the information attached from Chris Allen for more insight onto the work we will be doing at the Anabranch Conservation area. We will be meeting on the northern side of the anabranch, near the large riveroaks. To access this drive down East St past the old racecourse and turn left into Bridge St. Approximately 100m along Bridge St there is an opening into the Bend's northernmost paddock. People can park their cars along Bridge St and walk across to the anabranch. The program is as follows: 9:00 Arrival - Seed savers have a set up. Also coffee/tea/muffins available on Sapphs/cash basis 9:30 Informational session about the conservation area by Chris Allen 10:00 - 12:00 Working in the conservation area 12:00 - 12:30 General meeting 12:30 Lunch and sharing a plate and meeting/networking with others. Bend will be able to provide some tools, but please bring loppers, secateurs, bowsaws gloves, mattocks if you can. Please also bring stout footwear (most of us will be working in areas where the slopes can be quite steep) and hats. For those few not suffering from email overload, there is some more information about the anabranch and the tasks we are undertaking in the attached. Best wishes See you Saturday, Hallie and the LETS Admin Team Chris and the Bend Neighbourhood Association -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Also, was wondering if there is anyone who could do basic Maths tutoring with my 12 yr old son once a fortnight or so, for saphs and $$.
